Internet, you shall be the death of me and my almost nonexistent bank account.
This week's craziness started with a photo.

White, virginal, straightforward. Verrry nice. However, it will be a miracle to get this table shipped to this third world country, not to mention the customs headaches and a few tears. Construction by our go-to furniture guy is also going to be an ordeal I don't have the strength to go through, so I opted to find the next best thing.

See, this here is a console table, but its length is perfect for the clutter I have at home. Plus, it has some nifty section underneath for all the doodads. It comes in a dark brown shade and a lighter, more natural finish, which I think is more pleasing to look at. The table sells for P2,499 (about $60), and is made of laminated medium-density fiberboard.
I have a bookcase made of laminated MDF, and based on experience, it's not very durable. It's pretty to look at from a distance, but the back and some of the edges are peeling and falling apart. I'm terrified a table of the same make would buckle under the weight of my books and other trash.
For those who like this or other HOFA Lamin8 products, they have a store at SM North Edsa Interior Zone. That's at the back building, where Cyberzone was previously located.

So pretty, my knees buckled at the sight of it. The clean lines, simple finish. Yes. Yes. Yes! This table, seen in Dimensione Eastwood Mall, is made of hard wood slab with metal framing. I can just stare at it the whole day, and maybe run my fingers through it. This is love.
Made in the Philippines at an unbelievably affordable price (P3,295 or about $80 plus delivery). Delivery is two working days after order and payment, according to staff.
I'm getting this one soon, or as soon as I can get out of the office today. Now, where to find that perfect chair?
